Dr. Brenja Besteman, D.C.

Dr. Brenja Besteman, D.C. is originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She made Florida her home in 2015. She found her love of chiropractic through receiving care as a teenager while playing sports and into her adult life to treat vertigo. She is passionate about helping others achieve their best health through natural chiropractic care.

She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from Daytona State College, laying a solid foundation for her future endeavors. Pursuing her passion further, Dr. Brenja attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she discovered her special interest in treating pediatric patients and pregnant mamas. This niche allows her to make a meaningful impact on families, ensuring they receive the care they need for a healthier future.

When she's not in the office, Dr. Brenja loves to spend quality time with her family. You'll often find her chasing after her toddler, Sawyer, or soaking up the sun at the beach. Her commitment to both her profession and her family reflects her belief in a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Katherine Burtis, D.C.

Dr. Katherine Burtis, D.C. is originally from Long Island, NY. She is a second-generation chiropractor, and as a child, she grew up with chiropractic and the understanding of the power of the nervous system.

She graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. Upon graduation, Dr. Katherine Burtis, D.C. worked for a large pharmaceutical company. It was through this direct experience that she became inspired to trace back to her roots and help individuals heal naturally. She completed her doctorate in chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic.

Dr. Katherine Burtis, D.C. is extremely passionate about improving the health of the DeLand community to allow them to thrive with specific chiropractic care.

Outside of the office, you can find her spending time with her friends and family, spending date nights with her hubby Pete in downtown DeLand, hiking on trails in central Florida, riding horses in DeLeon Springs, and enjoying time with her 2 cats - Ron and Charles.

Dr. Teddi Lesoine, D.C.

Dr. Teddi grew up on Amelia Island, Florida, where her passion for chiropractic care first began. Inspired by watching her parents stay active and enjoy the sports they loved through regular chiropractic visits, she knew early on that she wanted to help others experience the same benefits.

She went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from the University of North Florida. During her internship at a neuro-recovery center, she discovered her true calling—helping people regain strength, mobility, and confidence in their everyday lives.

Her journey then led her to Palmer College of Chiropractic, where she developed a special interest in working with athletes. Today, she loves helping people return to the sports and activities they love—healthier, stronger, and more resilient than before.

Outside the office, you can often find Dr. Teddi enjoying the outdoors with her two dogs, Anakin and Shmi, running along the beach, or relaxing while rewatching her favorite episodes of The Office.
